We've developed a support service we are calling Banner House Call, in order to
provide additional support and personalized service for Banner users across campus.
The Banner Support Office will provide in-person or virtual assistance with Banner
business process development, retraining, in-service training, troubleshooting and

We've launched a new request tool to give campus community members the opportunity
to make formal requests for Banner Enhancements, changes and modifications.

We've updated the Course Explorer to include our Spring 2009 Schedule of Classes.
There are a few new things on the explorer to make note of. First, we've been
working with the Google API to add a new mapping feature to the schedule.
While current students are used to our cryptic two-letter codes, and the
layout of campus, our new students ....

The course explorer, once in
beta on BU BRAIN is now online,
revamped and
publically available. In the coming weeks, the Spring schedule
will appear on the Course Explorer. As before, the Course Explorer is a tool for
researching courses using our new schedule of classes. ....

Today we are conducting some additional tests on our new
release of Luminis, the tool that powers BU BRAIN - our campus portal.
Between the hours of 11:30am and 3pm, you may notice some system slowdowns
in Self Service Banner and INB. We anticipate any slowdowns to be slight, being that

The B-Number was introduced to reduce our reliance on the Social Security Number
as a primary identifier. It is not based on your Social Security Number, your
date of Birth or any other common identifier. The B-Number, on its own, is only
a University-specific identifier that cannot be used outside of Binghamton
University as an identification ....
